The media is enjoying the Olympics more for the novelty of the North Korean Dictator’s sister being in attendance. Even the South Korean President is gushing over the meeting of the two countries. It is like the media and other powers that be want us to believe that we just need open communication with North Korea and give them a chance and we can all be friends.
I remember a time when reporters and journalist dug deeply and thoroughly in order to report the facts. Instead of applauding the dictator’s sister on her splendid looks, they might take a page out of Vice President Pence’s book and talk to the real people of North Korea for some of the facts about life in that country and why thousands are taking dangerous chances every day to escape the country.
Or, just listen to the young man in the video whose father has been arrested and sucked into the death camps of that country. His father is a United States citizen. Why isn’t that front page news?
The Olympics are especially interesting this year with the participation of North Korea. Our media is enthralled with the appearance of the North Korean dictator’s sister. The news has been full of their delight in her appearance, her snubbing of Vice President Pence, the Olympic participants from North Korea . . . It goes on and on as they make North Korea the center of interest.
The media, as usual, has a short-term memory problem when it comes to facts, however. Did they remember the young man who received recognition from President Trump at his State of the Union Address? He was from North Korea. He had a sad story of mistreatment in North Korea. He escaped with most of his family from North Korea. His father, sadly, was captured trying to escape and dying under torture.
Anyone recall the American that was sentenced to years in their horrible work camp prisons? By the time President Trump got into office and made efforts to bring him home, North Korea delivered a broken body and mind to his family evidencing the senseless torture and mistreatment the young man received from North Korea.
Yet, the media is more interested in the surface view presented to the world by North Korea rather than it’s history of truth.
“2000 years ago Jesus ended the debate of which lives matter. He died for all!”
The Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, brings a lot of questions and baggage to her campaign. While the media prefers to pursue their usual biased and unbalanced reporting of the campaign, I would think that there will always be that one, outstanding reason to not share your vote for her election to president. A president should do their utmost to protect and provide for every citizen of the United States and not just a chosen, paying few. ANY political official should have a history of guarding, to the best of their ability, the people working under her command or out in the field. The needs, security, and protection of any government employee should be seen to especially when numerous requests are made for that help.
There are a staggering amount of reasons to not vote for Hillary but I can think of four reasons that should deprive her of any vote, reasons for which she has shown little remorse.
In case you have been listening primarily to the biased reporting of the drive-by media, perhaps you might like a simple chart to consider your vote in the presidential election.
Disturbing news from the FBI re. the Hillary Clinton case. It undermines the judicial system in the United States and, in essence, makes a mockery of the people who decided to excuse Mrs. Clinton from all her wrong doing. The evidence was stacked against her but she gets away with it. Hey, you wouldn’t want to get in the way of a wrong doer trying to run an presidential election so she can continue with her buying and selling of souls.
As American with enough smarts to know right from wrong, we realized that using a private email server in the course of official government business was not a good idea. Convenient or not in Clinton’s little world, it endangered American people. Emails on any computer are never one hundred percent secure. There is always someone, somewhere who enjoys trying to surf into private cyberspace to see what they can see. As Secretary of State, there would and should be emails of a sensitive nature yet protecting the people who might be involved in various missives obviously didn’t enter into Mrs. Clinton’s mind . . . or she just didn’t really care.
Even though the FBI were open about Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of our nation’s top secrets and that it was totally unacceptable to process State Department information on a private server, Clinton was still given a free pass.
James Comey of the FBI admitted that Clinton basically lied to America about the nature of the emails in question. According to the evidence, about 110 emails were classified . Mrs. Clinton insisted that she never sent or received any classified emails which begs the question: If, as Secretary of State of America, she really didn’t receive or deal with any classified emails, what was she doing as Secretary of State? Wouldn’t the daily running of the office produce information of that nature coming in or going out fairly regularly?
Just to be sure that she covered her, let’s say, bases, the former Secretary of State deleted work-related emails before turning it over to the FBI. Naturally, in the usual Clinton fashion, she claimed in her campaign propaganda that this was not true.
There is hacking going on all the time as some people can find no better use of their time than to invade other people’s private accounts. I’m thinking that emails that should have high security clearance in place, would be a great challenge to both the hobby hacker as well as ones working for foreign governments and willing to sell/provide the information to their intelligence sectors for a price. Isn’t there a very good chance that some of the intelligence that Hillary left on the ‘front stoop’ of her computer antics might be in the hands of governments not friendly to the United States? Did she ever consider this or did she even care? A lot of top-level plans, names, and processes are on state secrets and now how many of them can/will be used against our country’s safety and interests?
The topper to James Comey’s announcement that Hillary had gotten a ‘get out of jail free’ card is that he assured the country that anyone else caught in a similar situation would most likely be punished to the full extent of the law. Does this apply to everyone now on any broken law? What if we cause a car crash that hurts other people due to our incompetence and stupidity. No charges for the first crash? Can we now embezzle money from our place of employment and not be liable to prosecution for this ‘first’ offense?
Carly Fiorina put it best when she said after the disastrous announcement from James Comey. “It’s not just a miscarriage of justice, but a blow to the very heart of democracy. This is a shameful day for the rule of law and the security of our nation no matter what your political beliefs may be.”
David Limbaugh is Rush’s younger brother. He’s got a law degree and a poli-sci degree. Has been a professor, is an author, has served in political capacities, and is regarded as an expert in law and politics. The man is an extremely articulate and eloquent wordsmith with what appears to be a superlative talent for framing his arguments in visceral terms. His discussion below pretty much puts America’s political scene, as being impacted by Trump, into crystal clear focus.
The Establishment birthed Trump!
Much of the establishment’s criticism of Donald Trump comes from its failure to comprehend the reasons for his soaring popularity. Establishment types seem untroubled by the problems facing America, so they can’t understand the urgency that fathered Trump’s rise. Minor adjustments to the Hindenburg’s dining room menu just aren’t going to get it.
Their overwrought analysis, their hand-wringing and their contemptuousness for Trump betray a disdain not only for Trump but for Americans who recognize the gravity of America’s predicament — and who, in desperation, have turned to Trump for bold action.
It’s hard to overstate Americans’ concern for the state of the nation. Horrified by President Obama’s Sherman-esque march through America, they are tired of hearing that nothing can be done. They are through with empty promises from establishment politicians.
People are tired of Obama’s pitting blacks against whites, women against men, gays against heterosexuals, rich against poor, non-taxpayers against taxpayers, citizens against cops and his Muslims against Christians. They can no longer stomach Obama’s apologizing for America and excusing terrorists while rushing to attack Christians at every turn.
People are sick of being called racists for things that happened in this country before they were born or before they could vote, for opposing Obama’s destructive agenda, or for simply being Republicans. They abhor the war on cops orchestrated by racial hucksters and pandering politicians. They are incredulous that any president would deliberately engineer America’s decline and degrade our military. They are tired of the nation’s chief executive officer’s flouting laws and thwarting the people’s will.
Americans are sick of Obama’s trashing America’s founding, assaulting capitalism, and bellowing about man-made global warming as a pretense to impose more liberty-smothering regulations. They are nauseated by politicians who are more interested in bipartisanship with scofflaws than with saving the nation.
People are mortified by the nation’s fiscal instability, its unbridled national debt, its spiraling entitlements and Washington’s refusal to address them. They are sick of the fraudulent spending “cuts.” They have had their fill of the lies, especially about Obamacare, whose costs dwarf Obama’s promised projections and are getting worse by the day. They’ve reached their limit with this administration’s rewarding unemployment and laziness while punishing work, its honoring socialism and demonizing capitalism.
People are sick of politically correct bullies. They are exhausted by lectures about not paying their fair share when half the income earners don’t pay income taxes. They are fed up with lies about decreasing unemployment rates when tens of millions have dropped out of the workforce.
Every other week, we face a new existential threat to the nation — threats perpetrated or enabled by Obama and the Washington establishment. But the establishment meets these perils with barely disguised indifference. Islamic terrorism is overrunning the Middle East and has reached our mainland, and Obama doesn’t dare whisper its name. Obama refuses to enforce the borders; he orders his administration not to enforce immigration laws; he lawlessly grants amnesty to millions of immigrants who are here illegally; and he and his party set up sanctuary cities that harbor criminal immigrants.
Last year, we faced an invasion from Central America; now, in the name of compassion, we are inviting in Syrian refugees – some 72 percent of whom are, curiously, men. Are we afraid to wonder aloud whether those who sidestep the legal immigration process will embrace the American idea? Whether they will end up on the welfare rolls?
With Congress’ help, Obama bypassed the Constitution’s treaty clause and entered into a reckless, non-verifiable nuke deal with Iran and will give the Iranians a $150 billion signing bonus to fund terrorism and build ballistic missiles.
So where does that leave us?
People have heard one too many times that the Republican Party, if it regains control, will turn things around. Republicans have been so timid in opposing Obama’s agenda that many have quit believing they’ll reverse this madness if they acquire full control.
Along comes Trump, who gives voice to these legitimate grievances instead of calling people racist, selfish or hysterical. He emphasizes the urgency of these problems, and he denounces the status quo, the establishment, Washington inertia and political correctness without an ounce of apology. People are dehydrated, and he’s their Gatorade®.
Whether Trump could or would deliver on his promises is one thing, but the establishment’s arrogant failure to acknowledge, let alone decry the horror of, the status quo is his lifeblood. If Trump is a monster, the establishment is Dr. Frankenstein, so please spare us the lectures.
