Midterm Voting . . . It’s Important!

The midterms are upon us and, traditionally, a big presidential win by either party, usually results in a low turn-out for the party currently in power and gives the other party a possible head’s up in turning the tide in anticipation for the 2020 presidential election.

While we had a good turn out for the presidential election, many people may not feel the need to defend their turf come November. Knowing this, the Democrats are out to take over the House and, if successful, make the rest of President Trump’s term miserable for him. Uh, as if that hasn’t been their ongoing goal since November 2016.

Over the years, I have heard so many people tell me why they couldn’t vote:

1. I forgot to re-register to vote after I missed voting in the last election.
2. It was raining that day and I didn’t want to wait in line. (Voting is indoors!)
3. With my children in school, I need to be home in case there is an emergency. (Cell phone?)
4. I home school and don’t want to disrupt the day. (A living lesson in our country and how it works?)
5. If I register to vote, I will get called for Jury Duty. (They don’t go by the voting lists.)
6. I really didn’t know who to vote for or even who was running and for what? (You take pride in this?
7. I had a headache, fever, stomach . . . (fill in the blanks!)
8. Oh, was yesterday voting day?

After over two years of fake media reporting, trying to thwart the president’s job, initiating various uprisings about whatever faction feels slighted that day, are we really going to give the opposition a chance to undo the good work and changes to date? And, if you feel there has not been anything of value done since November 2016, you haven’t been reading all the news. Just the fact that unemployment is down, jobs are more plentiful, and taxes were cut and reflected in your take home pay should be enough to get one to the polling place. We could go into more details about President Trump’s handling of some dictators, allies, negotiating better trade values but if you didn’t care enough to listen when it happened, you probably won’t believe it now.

So, just a thought-provoking reminder that voting is coming up soon. Voting is important. And leaving it up to a few to keep our politicians in office, might not be enough. Just think! One of the first things on the Democrat agenda is to rescind the tax cuts, impeach the president, and reinstate as much of the previous eight years as possible.

Still not convinced? It seems to me that every vote a person doesn’t bother to use, means a vote for the other side. As Christians/Catholics, the only chance for pro-life standards comes from the current administration. In essence, the vote you don’t use will be a vote to a party who has a firm platform in placehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgPx25jYSQg for abortion in place. You might not consider yourself in favor of abortion but your absence at the polling place will signal strongly that you didn’t care enough to keep an adamantly pro-abortion political party out of office in hopes of saving more unborn.

Democrats and Reason . . .

Never ask how low the democrats can go to push their own agenda because they work very hard at trying to see how low they can go.

Now, isn’t it true that democrats donate funding to their various agendas and if they have a group or business that would welcome money in turn for supporting their democratic brethren, I have yet to hear anyone threaten or chastise them. Remember how they supported the restaurant that kicked out Sarah Sanders?

Well, In-N-Out dared to donate a check to the Republican faction and you’d think they had presented the check in person with a mob carrying disrespectful banners about the conservatives. You know, like the democrats usually handle things? Nope, In-N-Out gave the Republicans  a donation and the democrats didn’t like it so they, as usual, verbally attacked and started another turmoil in town.

Well, I have taken note of this concern. We have an In-N-Out within walking distance from home. I’m thinking of going over there these weekend and give them . . . money in exchange for one of their great hamburgers and fries. Maybe I will give them a twenty and force them to have to make change. That will show them, right!

A Nice Serving of Politics . . . Can They Go Any Lower? Please Don’t Challenge Them!

When I was growing up, I was raised to leave arguments off the table when we gathered around for dinner. The premise was that my mother worked long and hard to provide a good meal and heated discussions were never conducive to good digestion! It was also good training for the times we shared a meal at a restaurant with friends. We were well-behaved and, looking back, I now understand why the waiters/waitresses always gave us good service and little treats to me as I was one child that wasn’t giving them problems or problematic messes they would have to take extra time to clean up once we finished our meal and left. The staff treated us kindly and with good service because, face it, our satisfaction with our ‘purchase’ of their time and a good meal is what kept their employer in business and them productively employed.

Sarah Sanders, President Trump’s very able press Secretary, decided to have a well-earned evening out with a group of friends last week. They decided to enjoy their meal at the Red Hen Restaurant in Lexington, Virginia. It seems the liberal wait staff recognized her and in the usual leftist approach decided that this might not be to their liking so immediately called the owner who drove there in record time to verify that it was Sarah Saunders. She consulted with her staff and they all voted (Democrats that they are!) to oust her from the premises. The owner took her aside and said she wasn’t welcome there and with great class and dignity, Sarah Sanders offered to pay the bill for what they had already started eating, gathered her friends and left.

So much for a free society and freedom of speech as the Red Hen owner decided that politics in her restaurant were her way or no way. Tolerance only works one way with the liberal faction as has been proven over and over and over again.

Mrs. Sanders and her friends went to a restaurant across the street and barely settled in when the owner of the Red Hen decided she had not represented her ’cause’ firmly enough and quickly got on the phone to summon her political lemmings to come and stage a protest at the other restaurant thus destroying a casual evening with friends for the second time. Why? Because they didn’t approve of her politics and her boss, President Donald Trump, the officially-elected President of the United States including the State of Virginia.

Then Maxine Waters, a Congresswoman from California, ranted to her supporters that they need to forcibly let Trump officials know they are not wanted anywhere. Imagine telling one set of American citizens to go after another faction of American citizens because of their vote. To me, that is a call to violence and, even if Miz Waters didn’t exactly meant to hurt anyone in the Democratic Party name, disrupting someone’s day because you don’t like them is the lowest form of behavior. Not to be outdone, Pelosi actually said, ““I just don’t even know why there aren’t uprisings all over the country and maybe there will be when people realize that this is a policy they defend.” I thought inciting violence was against the law?

I guess Democrats like a two-party system in this country as long as their party is the winner. Remember all the riots, violence, burned cars, and injuries that ensued when obama won two terms in a row? Me, neither. Can’t say the same about the election of President Trump.

Sarah Sanders continued with her kindness and dignity in the face of oppression without reason. Tell me, if you wanted to make a friend, would you chose Sarah Sanders or the woman who kicked Sarah Sanders out of her restaurant and then went out of her way to destroy her meal at a restaurant she didn’t own? I guess the woman with a leftist cause did have some cronies as evidenced by the ones who dropped everything to come insult and malign a person who was off duty and trying to have a nice evening out. Frankly, I’d advise Sarah Sanders to either host dinner at her home or find some dignified, caring restaurants that won’t be tempted to include spit in their food!

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” has been translated by the Democratic Party as “Try to do unto before you are done to”!

Presidential Quote

“Democrats can fix their forced family breakup at the Border by working with Republicans on new legislation, for a change!” Trump tweeted. “This is why we need more Republicans elected in November. Democrats are good at only three things, High Taxes, High Crime and Obstruction. Sad!”
