Christmas Shopping . . .

I will refrain from too much glee but I have already completed, wrapped, and mailed out all but two of my Christmas presents for 2018. After reading this, however, I wish I had realized that besides being thrifty these days, you also have to pay attention to what the companies you buy from are doing with their profits. For instance, if you purchase from any of the companies listed below, you are actually giving them the profits they need to continue sponsoring Planned Parenthood. If you worry about the daily deaths of healthy, unborn children, you might want to adjust your shopping list.

Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Child!

Watch your dates! The Christmas Boxes for the Samaritan’s Purse need to be left at the site closest to you in your city/town. All the information is available on-line. The dates for bringing in your boxes is between November 12th through November 19th.  Check their site for details and locations.

The best part is shopping and packing the boxes. I finished the tedious part of preparing them for delivery this morning.  My husband’s part is delivering them to the collection site.

Now that my part is done . . . I can hardly wait to do it all over again next year.

Mary’s Boy Child

A young man I dated decades ago, introduced me to Roger Whittaker’s music. Currently, I have five or six CD’s of his music . . . the young man, however, wasn’t as memorable! This is one of my favorite songs as it states the ‘reason for the season’ and continues one’s hope for the coming year.
